Description

Oh my word, why do I keep doing this?  It's starting to feel like a yearly tradition.
Not gonna lie, I played around a lot with each of the different episodes, so forgive the inconsistencies.  Let's face it, I do these more for my own amusement than anything else.  Still, I had a great deal of fun doing some of the designs for the gijinka / human versions of certain characters.

---

If you haven't seen the previous parts and happen to be curious as to how far I've come (and also how little I've improved XD), here they are:

Season 1 Part 1
Season 1 Part 2
Season 2 Part 1
Season 2 Part 2
Season 3 Part 1 -You are here-
Season 3 Part 2 -Coming Whenever-

---

And, as usual, feel free to guess the episodes before checking below for the answers/key.

---

Episode 1 : Muriel Meets Her Match
You know, now that I've been passively learning Spanish since my freshman year back in high school, it strikes me as odd that even back then I didn't catch on that her husband was a hand and his name literally just means 'hand', nor that I noticed the fact that either of them were supposed to be Latino.  Granted, even back then I was under the impression that Latinos didn't have red scalera and limbs for spouses.

Episode 2 : Courage vs Mecha-Courage
I vaguely remembered this episode up until I watched it and my brain made it out to be much more tragic and heartfelt than the episode actually was.  Still, I liked working with a more emotional expression.

Episode 3 : Campsite of Terror
I swear this one panel took the most time out of all of them.  I had way too much fun playing around with lighting effects and chains can just go die in a fire.  Took forever to get it to a point where I was satisfied with moving on.  I dunno why, I just really enjoyed drawing the raccoon brothers as thuggish delinquents.

Episode 4 : Record Deal
Dunno why, but beyond Shirley (because seriously, it's Shirley) I never really cared for this episode as a kid.  Rewatching it I didn't find it that bad, but for whatever reason as a kid I just didn't like it.  That said, I decided to make Velvet Vick a little more ... alive-looking in this rendition.

Episode 5 : Stormy Weather
So, I actually really wish I could have done something more for this.  I really did used to love this episode when I was younger.  However, as I was sketching this out and listening to the dialogue, I just couldn't get this gijinkaverse image out of my head.  I mean, really.  I'd imagine in a gijinkaverse like this, those words would probably come off as kinda racist.  And since Courage doesn't want his house blown away, he's just sitting there forcing a smile like 'did she really just say that?'.

Episode 6 : The Sandman Sleeps
I was going to add Courage in there, but there just wasn't enough room that wouldn't crowd out the Sandman.  Plus, I kinda liked working on shading sheets.

Episode 7 : Hard Drive Courage
And again my love of Computer shows through.  I just love that snarky hunk of circuits.  Admittedly, I finished with computer's shading, looked over at Courage with the virus and sorta went 'Good enough' and totally forgot to come back to it.  Woops.

Episode 8 : Ride of the Valkyries
Norse mythology, man~!  So it's not really that true to the mythos, but you know what?  I'm a sucker for myths/legends/folklore/fairy tales.  There were a few scenes that came to mind when I was sketching this panel out.  Eventually I just couldn't resist drawing Courage as a priest.  Plus I had fun doing the Troll King's outfit.

Episode 9 : Scuba Scuba Doo
Mayor looks like he belongs more in Innsmouth than he does in CtCD, but whatever (a cookie to anyone who managed to get that reference).  But there's still just something about re-imagining little people into humanoid fish creatures in tophats that had a bit of charm to it while I was doodling.

Episode 10 : Conway the Contaminationist
I figured if the first panel didn't get a background, why bother with the last panel?  So trying to make that old bag of pollution into something more human was a bit weird to say the least.  In the end he just ended up looking like some really enthusiastic zombie.  As much as his appearance always creeped me out, I always kinda liked his odd sounding voice.  No idea why.  Like I didn't find it soothing, but there was something interesting about it.  Like the voice actor was just having fun with it (Whether or not that is actually true).

I thought the Hard Drive Virus was going to be a small child. There is no other fit for his voice.
